ANHC Recognizes ANAP Groups

Arkansas Natural Heritage Commission - Thursday, September 28, 2017


Founded in 2016, the ANHC’s Adopt a Natural Area Program (ANAP) encourages groups to sign up to adopt a local natural area as stewards, helping conduct volunteer events, and stewardship work, monitoring species, and assisting with one-time projects and research. The program also gives the ANHC local “boots on the ground” at our natural areas that can be called on to quickly respond to any immediate concerns.

To date, 10 groups and two individuals have adopted 19 of the ANHC’s natural areas. The ANHC would like to recognize:
